MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO APPLY We are hiring for Front of House and Daycare/Boarding (varies by location). The base pay is $13/hour plus tips. There are also opportunities to make commissions and bonuses. Although VERY rare, if you don't average $15/hour over a pay period, we will pay the difference so that everyone makes, at a minimum, $15/hour. Dirty Dog is a locally owned company that offers Self-Serve Dog Wash + Full-Service Grooming + Daycare + Boarding. We have 4 shops in central Austin and have won the coveted "Best of Austin" multiple times (including 2022!). We are looking for people who are passionate about dogs. In addition, we want someone who is going to personally connect with, laugh with and enhance the lives of our customers- human and furry. We want to be an integral part of our customers' lives and want them to feel like they’ve learned something about their dogs every time they come into our store. We are looking for a positive, motivating, organized individual that loves dogs and enjoys dealing with people. Someone who is above reproach meaning: always on time, professional in appearance and behavior, self-motivated and inspired, competent and doesn’t need constant direction. Someone who understands the need for and will provide exceptional customer service as well as able to provide support and encouragement to their staff. In short, lead by example. Front of House duties include: Greeting and assisting all customers Showing every customer how the self-serve side works Answering the phones Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop at all times Explaining the process to new customers Assisting teammates when needed Money handling Making appointments Checking and responding to emails Troubleshooting issues that may arise Make store operation decisions to keep the store running smoothly. Must be able to work throughout the holiday season (daycare and boarding is open on all major holidays-Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc. The shops, however, are closed). As the name implies, it’s a “dirty” job, and there’s a lot of cleaning involved, but at the end of the day, you’ll leave knowing you’ve helped provide a much-loved service to local dog-owners. able to work independently -there are times that the Shop Person will be the only one working at the shop Daycare and Boarding duties include: Greeting and assisting all customers Maintaining feeding and playgroup schedules Ensuring the safety and health of all dogs in your care Maintaining the cleanliness of the daycare areas at all times Explaining the process to new customers Assisting teammates when needed Money handling Making reservations Checking and responding to emails and text messages Troubleshooting issues that may arise Make store operation decisions to keep the store running smoothly. Must be able to work throughout the holiday season (we're open on all major holidays-Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc).
