Whispering Willow Ranch is looking to fill a barn worker position for a private ranch in Howell, MI. This position requires weekends and holidays (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) 16-40 hours per week. Weekends are required. Full-time hours for qualified and hired candidate. Candidate must have reliable transportation for this onsite job. Candidate requires experience working with large breed horses in the past three years, have recent experience lifting 50 lb. bags of grain, stall cleaning, and use of a tractor for stall cleaning. Candidate will be responsible for care of animals and ranch including: turnout, stall cleaning and tractor use, sweeping isles, bucket and tub cleaning, horse grooming and blanketing, feeding and water every four hours. It is not a cash job, paycheck every two weeks based on hours worked. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you have physical limitations that prevent you from lifting 50 lb. bags of grain and hay bales. We need reliable staff with experience handling large breed horses, stall cleaning, and custom feeding. You must know how to muck a stall, drive a tractor, be able to lift 50 lb. bags of grain and hay bales, handle large breed horses and care for animals. Owner is on the premises and available to assist when needed.
