Weekend Special Needs Caregiver

We are looking for a part-time caregiver for our adult son with Autism. He is 25 years old and very sweet but does need constant supervision. We have full-time staff during the week, but need some extra help on the weekends. The weekends are pretty chill. He likes to relax a little more than during the week, but he does like to go to the park, swim, and go out to eat. The weekend shift would be making sure he is safe and has someone to talk to (you) and interact with, cook, and hang out with. Help pick up the house/ his areas. Make sure he gets his medications, showers, hygiene, brushes his teeth, deodorant all that jazz. He is very interactive and very sweet. He is not aggressive towards others AT ALL and never has been. He does get lonely so we ask that you make interacting with him a priority. The job itself does not require much physical labor, but we do ask that you are an upbeat, friendly, ENGAGING, and kind person. he responds best when you initiate conversations and tasks in a fun way. Quality interaction and being an engaging person with him are our highest priorities. He craves social interaction and by nature of his disability, he doesn't always get it at the level he wants and needs. He needs help and supervision with most things, but he does a pretty good job completing tasks with help. As we said above the weekends are very chill and honestly, this job is mainly helping "R" ENJOY life and being a really good friend! Helping him take care of himself while going out to eat, swimming with him in the pool, and watching Disney movies! Not a bad way to start the summer! "R" is a very silly, talkative, and kind young man. He LOVES Disney and watching all things Disney. He enjoys going to the park, eating out (chili's, OSF, and Papa Johns to name a few!), and cheese! He LOVES cheese... cheese sticks, cheese pizza, Mac and cheese... you name it! He also enjoys Hanging out with his cousins and his caregiver's little nephew, checking out the birds at Petco, walking around Target, and getting mini M&M's from Walmart. His best friend is his caregiver of 20 years and his Mama! He gives the best hugs and always knows when you need to be cheered up! Hope to hear from you! The position choices are 20 hours a week minimum; We have two positions we are hiring for; 2 shift choices; 12 hr shifts or 8 hours shifts, your choice. We are flexible. 12 hr shift Saturday & Sunday 8 am-8 pm (24 hrs total) 8 hour shift Saturday & Sunday 2pm-10pm (16 hrs total) Must be 21 years or older. Must have a valid driver's license. Must pass DOJ background check
