Dear neighbors of the downtown and samish way I'm at a loss as to why we haven't contacted local government and why they can't do a damn thing about the drug situation in our area. Sure decriminalization of the drugs is helping the addicts and it's not lessening the effects of slowing the drug epidemic. I'm personally growing tired of having to watch my step each time I try to take my dogs out to go potty. Why is there nothing we can do about this. I suggest that calling our local government officials to report the lodge, coachmen motel and the other motels for trafficking drugs as they are one of the main sources for alcohol in the area. If something is done about the largest area where drugs are moved as is proven in the southern states remove the motels and a large portion of the drugs will be focused on the areas where the homeless congregate and from there strategically pinpoint and remove the sources. why is it that places like the lodge get to run and remain in good standing when they are one of the largest hotspots in Bellingham for drug trafficking. As someone who wants to make a better change for our community I really want to see these places removed from city limits it's not fair that the rest of the community has to deal with that.
