Since my post, the auto club contacted me about an unrelated question regarding multiple insurance policies (bundling).
I informed the agent that I intended canceling my membership due to the driver's license scanning policy.
After the agent talked to her manager I was offered a free 1 year membership.
I suggested they remove their policy about driver's license scanning and I will consider their offer after I'm assured the policy is no longer in effect.
Effective 7-12-2022 if anyone uses their services (you know who they are) and you are required to submit your license to be scanned please let me know.
We must put a stop to this invasion of our privacy!
Every time your info is scanned by any business the information can and will be sold.
