Position: Canvasser, Part-time through November Pay Rate: $20 /hour – Location: Moreno Valley, CA Do you like talking to people one-on-one? Do you enjoy connecting with people? Do you like explaining things or learning from others? Can you problem-solve and adapt? Can you be enthusiastic and persuasive? Do you like to walk and work outdoors? Hello! We are hiring part-time canvassers who will be part of a field team for a political campaign. We are seeking motivated applicants who will be working in Moreno Valley. The canvasser will go into public spaces and door-to-door to have direct contact with a broad base of voters to educate them about our candidate. Canvassers will report to the campaign manager to meet goals, must be able to receive constructive feedback and have excellent communication skills. Spanish bilingual is a plus. Responsibilities: - Memorizing and reciting scripts. - Driving to canvassing locations. - Approaching and talking to voters about the campaign. - Displaying knowledge of the campaign and attempting to sway opinions. - Obtaining personal information from the voter. - Maintaining a professional appearance. - Meeting as set out by the employer. Requirements: - Reliable transportation to canvassing locations in Moreno Valley. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Ability to work outdoors through the summer. - Ability to work some weekday evenings and on weekends. --- Typical hours: Mon-Th 4-8pm, Sat 10am-2pm, Sun 3-7pm - Ability to move door-to-door for long periods. - Ability to communicate with voters in-person.
