Our client in the city of Gardena, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector with knowledge in the area of general inspection methods and procedures and an understanding of blueprint reading, specification interpretation, and the use of inspection measuring equipment. This position will support various aspects of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring world-class systems and performance through continual focus on process improvement, supplier development and customer interaction. The inspector’s specific duties include (but are not limited to) the following: o Proven capability to work directly with departmental groups to highlight key quality issues that require action. o Proven capability at developing and implementing specialized tests and measurements on a wide variety of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and vision systems. o Receiving Inspection duties for both purchased and Customer supplied product o Perform In-Process Inspection when called upon o Handle all aspects of final inspection including the following: o Review of paperwork to ensure that all necessary documentation is included and complete o Inspection of the actual finished product per published company procedures and standards o Signing certifications o Maintain all Inspection records as required o Perform First Article Inspections o Customer source inspection duties if required o Monitor the QA work load and perform inspection duties prioritized by due date o Discerning best possible packaging so as to not damage any parts o Understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Preferred Experience: o Strong attention to detail & understanding of GD&T o Knowledge in using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator etc.) o Ability to multi-task o Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (or 9001:2008) principles o Great computer navigating skills. o Proficient in Microsoft Office: e.g.: Word, Outlook, Excel. o 1 year experience in manufacturing Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm Pay is negotiable!
