Seeking Drummer - Shoegaze Post Punk Alt

Hi! Orange County based guitarist and bassist are looking for a drummer. The music we create is inspired by bands like Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Failure, Bloody Valentine, DIIV, Deethunter, etc. We’ve both been playing in different bands in Orange County since the mid/late 90’s so technically and creatively, we write pretty quick and can really dive right into making songs. Who are we looking for? Piers and I are in our 40’s - this doesn’t necessarily mean we’re looking for another old dude to play drums, but just so you know. We’re not too concerned with age - as long as we gel, that’s the most important part. Looking for someone who can play already. We’re not looking for Stewart Copeland, but we’d like to jump in pretty quickly and smoothly. Ideally - someone that plays well at common tempos, keeps in time and has a creative approach to developing their drum parts. Playing - we’d be looking at practicing once every 2 weeks in the Irvine, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa area. Interested? Let’s connect and we’ll get you some music sample to check out.
