A supervisor at Restif trains new hires and directly oversees the work as needed. Supervisors report to the Operations Manager. A supervisor of employee owners needs to be a teacher/explainer first and an enforcer of policies and procedures second. Although the job of all Restif leadership is to maximize the member’s earnings from their labor, the supervisor’s role in this effort is to represent the customer’s interest first. Specific duties are listed below. Train – Teach cleaning methods and evaluate performance of new hires and current employees who need retraining. After orientation is completed, the supervisor coordinates the gear issue and the entry of the new hire into the team. Training should be an ongoing activity with the focus on the new hires. Maintain Good to Excellent Quality Cleaning Service Results –Use scheduled and unscheduled inspections, walkthroughs, talk to leads and informal methods to maintain thorough knowledge of the cleaning quality Restif is delivering to the customers. Inspections are unannounced; they include written evaluations of the cleaning result, review of the evaluation with the cleaner and documentation of the inspection. Perform all scheduled inspections in a timely manner. The supervisor must be aware of the cleaning quality we are producing. We need to catch bad cleaning before the customer does. Personnel Evaluation – With leadership, perform yearly individual & team evaluations. Initiate and complete interim evaluations as needed. Coordinate Team Activities – With team lead, write agendas for weekly team meetings. Chair meetings and keep a record of meeting activity. Follow up as needed on your own or with the help of leadership. Advise on scheduling and other team lead responsibilities. Advise on individual job organization (work flow). Introduce new gear. Deliver stock to teams without a team supervisor. Improvement – At all times, search systems, procedures and daily operations for a better way to organize and clean. Communicate your ideas with management and with the team. Communication – Check in with team leads daily. Meet with leadership each week for a complete review and plan session. Regularly inform the OM of team changes and problems. Put the improvement possibilities you discover into language and specific ideas that can be converted to plans of action. Staffing – Accept time off requests, figure out fill-in staffing, get help from leadership as needed, approve requests, communicate with the office. Advise OM of current or potential staffing problems. Discipline – Follow up complaints according to procedure. Deliver warnings and formal discipline up to but not including termination. Substitute and Clean Own Jobs – Accept first line responsibility for satisfactory completion of all scheduled jobs each shift. This may include cleaning directly scheduled jobs or substitute work on team scheduled jobs. Requirements: • Possess valid DL and vehicle, as your own vehicle is required for use. • Be able to pass Motor Vehicle Request, so our insurance can place you on our work policy during business hours: No driver can have any of the following in the last 3 years: o More than 3 moving violations or two accidents o No suspension or revocation of DL o No single violation involving reckless driving, DUI, racing or fleeing an officer or accident. • Ability to be punctual and have regular attendance. • Ability to be on feet for 8-10 hours; squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, etc. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Be able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as being able to work independently. • Positive, upbeat personality, and friendly, with superior interpersonal skills. • Willingness to maintain confidentiality of clients.
