Description
We are looking for a home for this sweet Australian Shepherd mix. We found her abandoned on the side of a county road malnourished, and covered in ticks. Since then, she has been loved, fed, and trained. (Not professionally, but my daughters have out a lot of work in) She would be the perfect inside/apartment dog. She is very laid back and relaxed. She is crate trained and house broken (mostly, there have been a couple incidents if we let her go upstairs by herself). She is very loving, and great around kids. We have 2 dogs that are bigger than her and she was trying to dominate them at first, but she quickly adjusted to correction and is now great with them (it took less than 1 day). My daughters take turns walking her in the neighborhood with a leash and have trained her to walk beside, not pull or walk in front. She is a great walker. She is awesome but there are a few things that her new family needs to be aware of. She is aggressive toward smaller animals. Cats, Squirrels, and even smaller dogs. The first week we had her she caught a squirrel and killed it. She attacked my brother in law’s chihuahua but we were there and able to break it up before it got hurt. She seems to have some psychological issues that she needs to work through (most abandoned dogs do) but has been making great progress. We have not taken her to the vet, so she will need shots. She appears to be intact, but I’m not completely sure. Also I think she’s 3-5 years old, but I’m not sure on that either. We never had any intent of keeping her, but couldn’t just leave her when we found her. My daughters convinced me that if we took her home, they would get her healthy, Train her, and then find someone to give her a home. They’ve done the first 2 things very well, so I’m trying to help them with the last bit. We have named her Omega and she’s started responding to that name fairly quickly, so I’m sure she will learn any new name you give her quickly as well! Asking $100 rehome fee.
