hi-- Established 5-6 piece blues/oldschool R&B/R&R band seeks a lead guitarist, M-F-?. Multicultural most welcome. Mostly covers, a few strong originals. We will rehearse weekly to get you up to speed as needed; then rehearsals will become less frequent. Rehearsals in Metro West. No-cost rehearsal space. A background and continuing interest in blues, R&B, covers and originals needed. We sometimes modify from original arrangements. Vocals a plus. We have a frontman, several harmony singers. We have a list of 40 or so tunes, adding more all the time. Instrumentation includes vox/harp/guitar; bass/vox; keys; drums/perc/vox; sax/vox. We gig on average 1-2 times a month, mostly outdoor farm/farmers market/bandstand type gigs, weekend afternoons/early evenings; occasional weeknight summer evenings. Summer is our busy season. Not a big money gig, but respectable. You must have your own transpo, quality gear, 1 evening free/week for rehearsals, minimal mental baggage about bands, and an open mind.
