Job Duties: Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of Wet, Dry, Standpipe and Fire Pump systems in accordance with NFPA and the state department of health. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection. Knowledge of fire pumps, and standpipes is required. Shift: 7:30AM to 4:00PM (Monday to Friday) Travel: Using company vehicle to travel to different job sites in 5 boroughs to perform ITM for NFPA 25 Job Function: -Maintain complete and accurate documentation in NFPA 25 based software of all inspections, maintenance and tests performed, including deficiencies found during inspections -Complete and submit all required task related activity, productivity, reports, and other documentation in a timely manner -Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered -Working knowledge of fire sprinkler system components -Working knowledge of wet, dry, standpipe and fire pump systems -Ability to utilize all tools pertaining to inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of wet, dry, standpipe and fire pump systems -Applicable knowledge of NFPA 25 -Accurately recognize deficiencies found during an inspection Required Experience: -Must have COF S12, S13, S14 -NYS BACKFLOW TESTER CERTIFICATION (Not required but a plus) -Experience in repairing and testing backflow devices (Not required but a plus) -Experience in performing the Annual Fire Pump Flow Test -Experience in performing the 5 Hydrostatic Test of FDC -Experience with performing Annual and 5-year Test of Dry Valves -Experience with performing Annual Fire Pump Flow Test -Experience with performing Annual Hose Valve Testing -Experience with performing 5-year internal inspection of piping -Experience with performing Annual testing of Control Valves -Experience with performing Semi-Annual testing of Waterflow Alarms and Tamper Switches -Experience with performing Annual and 5-year testing of Sprinkler PRV’s -Experience with performing Annual testing of water level alarms and temperature alarms for Fire Water Storage Tanks -Knowledge of NFPA 13, 20, 25 Codes Other Requirements: -Clean Driver’s License -Minimum of 2 years’ experience -Tech Savy you will be required to be entering information in a ipad daily. ***We are an equal opportunity employer.
