We are seeking delivery drivers that can travel across states lines!!! If you are not willing to travel please do not respond to this ad!! NON-CDL drivers are welcome!!! Our drivers are responsible for following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a truck. Communicating with dispatchers, drivers and other team members to make deliveries. Responsibilities: *Meeting delivery deadlines *Performing basic truck maintenance *Loading and unloading cargo *Tracking shipments and deliveries *Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed What are the daily duties of a Delivery Driver? A Delivery Driver begins their day by arriving at their designated facility or location. They park their delivery truck at the loading dock and load parcels assigned to their particular route. Throughout the day, they will drive, using their GPS navigation to find addresses and delivery packages. The typical work day consist of 10.5 hours, this includes drive time and loading or unloading. What makes a good Delivery Driver? A good Delivery Driver is someone who values customer service. This enables them to provide timely delivery while also handling packages with care. They should also be physically fit to a degree so they can lift and maneuver heavy parcels without difficulty or injury. Further, a good Delivery Driver should have an excellent driving record and should prioritize safety when driving to and from delivery locations. They should also be well-organized to ensure that they deliver all of the parcels designated for a particular route. NON-CDL drivers are welcome!!! Who does a Delivery Driver report to? Delivery Drivers typically report to a Warehouse Dispatcher. Warehouse Dispatchers are responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of their facility and the delivery process. They instruct Delivery Drivers on which parcels to deliver and act as a point of communication for Delivery Drivers should they have any questions or experience a delay in their delivery schedule.
