Description
The teachings of the Buddha say that all beings have the potential to awaken their inner compassion and wisdom and attain freedom from cyclic existence and suffering. All we need to complete this inner journey are instructions on how to tame the mind so it can discover its own true nature. Lama Karma Drodhul, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher and past president of our “home” monastery, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, will show us ways we can use meditation to liberate ourselves from negative patterns, confusion, and mental afflictions. On Friday night Aug. 19, the public talk introduces the role of mindfulness in making meaningful changes in our lives. On Saturday and Sunday Aug. 20 and 21st,, Lama Karma will teach progressive workshops that will focus on methods of self-liberation meditation. On Saturday afternoon, Lama Karma will give a Vajrayana empowerment. The empowerment to be given will be decided by a KTC sangha survey. This page will be updated when the empowerment is decided. ALL PROGRAMS ARE IN-PERSON at the Columbus KTC Center, 645 W. RIch Street, Columbus, OH. WANT TO PARTICIPATE BY ZOOM? Zoom tickets also are available to attend all workshops for a donation to KTC's Opeerations Fund. All four "Path pf Meditation" workshops will be Zoom-cast.
