On July 26th, the Academic Leadership Association and Gandara's stop the Access Coalition will be hosting a two-hour workshop to educate the youth in our community. The program will be educating and raise awareness of substance abuse. The goal is to eliminate and decrease a child's exposure to drug addiction while giving the youth a safe spot to ask questions. The program will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm and the location will be announced soon. We invite families to sign their children up for this amazing safe event. There will be food, Activities, and a Kahoot challenge at the end. We invite middle school-age students to participate in the program. Dear Friends: The Academic leadership Association in conjunction with Gandara’s Stop the Access Coalition is on a mission to empower students to make positive changes within themselves and their communities through mentoring and advocacy. Our organization is also dedicated to ensuring that our youth have necessary skills taught to them, such as financial literacy, healthy relationships, and the social and emotional tools imperative to building a quality and independent life. In fall of 2022, The Academic Leadership Association is looking to host its first annual GALA. This celebration will honor the students' hard work, dedication, and commitment to the program throughout the year. We are looking to give out community awards, student awards, and scholarships. In order to be able to provide a ceremony to honor the students who have been diligent with their participation, the organization needs the support of our community to host this amazing event. We are seeking donors to sponsor students for our Substance Abuse Education and Awareness Workshop on July 26th from 6pm - 8pm. We will be looking to provide our youth with both a fun and memorable experience, filled with educational activities, guest speakers, team building, leadership groups, food, music, raffles and fun. *Any level sponsorship will help support our efforts.
