Morgan Hill CA

Description

1 and 1/2 years, very young DNA sexing: male Tame : Yes, fully tame Excellent feather condition, food habits, no loud screaming, super friendly Flight feathers : Yes. Can fly. Rehoming fee : $5000 I have trained him to do basic handling very well. He steps onto the hand when shown without using his beak. Steps onto surfaces when shown. His handling is very natural and he understands your intent to pick him up or put him down. He is also target trained with a pointer stick. Favorite treats for training are pistachio nuts. He is fully weaned onto a fresh fruits and veggies diet. His diet is mainly chopped vegetables, beans, and grains: radishes, carrots, squash, zucchini, bell peppers, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, mustard leaves, collard leaves, etc. This is a very good thing because commercial seed mixes and most pellets contain extremely unhealthy amounts of corn, soy, seeds, and nuts. Years of eating these foods will lead to chronic health problems for birds down the line. He has absolutely no bad habits, no continuous screaming (Macaws can be really loud when they do scream), he does not bite, his feather condition is excellent. No stress bars, vibrant coloring. He bathes every 1-2 weeks. I typically place him on a chair in the bathtub and pour/splash water onto him. He is not yet used to the shower. Cold water only. I am selling him because my career is taking me across the country and I cannot bring him with me due to his size. I also have a 48 x 36 x 76 A and E dome top bird cage for sale as well. The cage is not included in the listed rehoming fee. He comes from a reputable breeder in LA California. If you are looking for a lifelong companion bird, you will not find a better one anywhere. It is very difficult to part with him, but at this stage I must do what is best for him and for me.
