Join Elizabeth Owen, BSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, CCRN, TCRN, CFRN, EMT, flight nurse, Vanderbilt LifeFlight, for this course on the Fundamentals of VAD Care. Elizabeth will review the basics of VAD anatomy and terminology, common emergencies, troubleshooting, and BLS/ACLS management of the VAD patient. This two hour class (worth two contact hours), is free. Open to any first responder, EMT, AETM, Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic, nurse or physician. Food will be provided.
