John will discuss the current climate and legal challenges that churches in America will face in 2023 and beyond, including issues of free speech, freedom of religion and he will talk about the preparations that can be made now to equip your church for coming persecutions. Phil will speak on how you as a Pastor can protect, feed and lead your sheep in the midst of present hostilities and coming oppositions both inside and outside of your church in 2023 and beyond. About the speakers: Phil Johnson is Pastor at Grace Life Fellowship in Los Angeles, CA. He also has served as Executive Director of John MacArthur’s Grace to You Ministries for 40 years, and has been a regular annual speaker at Shepherd’s Conferences for 3500-5000 pastors. Phil has also started several websites, including The Spurgeon Archive and The Hall of Church History. John Whitehead, attorney and author, founded the Rutherford Institute 40 years ago, specializing in Civil Rights and Constitutional Law. John has appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court numerous times in several cases resulting in landmark decisions. Mentored by Francis Shaeffer, John has always been interested in protecting and defending churches, pastors, and Christians against unconstitutional assaults on issues of Free Speech, Religious Liberty, and Freedom of Assembly.
