Itinerant Literate and Charleston's Absent Friends present: Happy Birthday, Harry! Join us at the backyard of the Bookstop to partake in some wizarding fun, including costume contest, a Horcrux hunt, Quidditch game, and other fun surprises! The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m., and take note of the schedule to stop by for your favorite events. Schedule4:00 p.m.: "Doors" open4:30-5:30 p.m.: Horcrux scavenger hunt (sign up here by July 25!)5:45: Costume contest6:00-7:00 p.m.: Quidditch game (sign up here by July 25!)All day activities: bake sale, Harry Potter character interactions and photo opportunities with the cast of Charleston's Absent Friends, raffle prizes, and general merriment. Proceeds from the raffle and bake sale will be used to benefit CAF's efforts to form a nonprofit organization. About the HostsItinerant LiterateItinerant Literate Books opened in 2015 as a mobile and pop-up bookstore and in 2018 opened the flagship bricks-and-mortar Bookstop in Park Circle. Our name is reflective of our mission: we believe stories are powerful vehicles for growth and that access to knowledge should not be limited by zip code or district. Charleston's Absent FriendsCharleston’s Absent Friends is South Carolina’s only active Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast and entertainment troupe and is now branching out to new fandoms! Our mission is to bring light to social justice and human rights issues through comedy and community. We are currently in the process of becoming a formal nonprofit and look forward to changing the Lowcountry together, one safe space at a time!
