From 5E to Old Miami & now we @ Elementt Soundz Studios in the Russell Industrial Center Live Head 2 Head Beat Battle every Last Saturday Combining Culture & Community Producers must email [email protected] for entry Registration closes April 23rd Michigan Raw (The Raw: Live Beat Battle) Hosted by Supa Emcee & Yoda.Kai Every Last Saturday starting April 30th, 2022 Open Mic + Beat Battle + Live Concert + Party Sounds by DJ TJ & special guest Rules and Regulations: Open Mic is first come first served. Sign in list will be on stage when doors open. Bring one song to perform on a flash drive. Open mic starts a 9pm To enter the Beat Battle Send us your Producer / Production Team Name Contact Email & a link to where our staff can review your production for qualification to [email protected] Qualified producers will receive a reply email with the date of your battle Check-In starts at 9pm after doors open the night of the battle. If you're not checked in by 10pm when battle begins you will lose your spot. Check-In for producers who are bringing their own equipment, sound check takes place from 8pm - 9pm. BEAT BATTLE RULES - BRING YOUR BEATS ON A USB or BRING EQUIPMENT (Mpc, Maschine, Keyboard, Laptop, etc) -No CDs - No playing beats from phone - NO REPLAYING A BEAT THAT YOU USED THE NIGHT OF - NO HOOKS OR VERSES ON YOUR BEATS - SAMPLES/KEYS/DRUMS/ETC ARE ALLOWED - PRESENT YOUR OWN WORK OR INFORM THE CROWD YOUR REPRESENTING SOMEONE (We want to hear you. Any beat that was not made by you or who you represent will be disqualified) - Your registration must be sent in within a week before the event FORMAT Each producer or production team will go head to head against their opponent and play a 1 minute beat in 1st round. 2nd round until finals will be 2 beats each. After every battle the winner to advance will be determined by our 3 point voting system (2 points from our music qualified judges plus 1 point from the crowd). The winner will advance. The rounds are set up like bracket style/knockout rounds. (Depending on qaulified producer there will be 12, 14, or 16 producers. In he chance it 14 there will be a *Wild Card which will happen after round 1. Someone from the audience will pull a name from a hat to give a producer another shot* All beats must be no longer than 1 minute.
