First, today's weather: Showers and a heavier t-storm. High: 86 Low: 78. Here are the top three stories in Mobile today: Downtown Mobile's Admiral Hotel will now be renovated after selling for $21 million. Adovet Hospitality purchased the hotel in late June. The 156 guest room hotel will be "rebirthed" according to the hospitality group's Regional Director of Operations. The hotel will hopefully fill a void in the community. (UTV 44)The Mobile Police Department reports that a motorcyclist was killed during a crash on Papermill Road on Saturday. The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. near McKinley Avenue. The motorcycle reportedly struck a car progressing through an intersection. Kevin Paul, 56 years old, was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. (NBC 15 WPMI)Mobile County has this year's first confirmed case of the human West Nile virus. The exposure occurred last month. The identity of the person has not been released. Mosquito complaints can be filed by calling 251-690-8124. The chance of contracting the virus is highest in August through the first freeze.
