For more information about our services, please visit our website: www.presidentialservice.com JOB DESCRIPTION – Day Porter ________________________________________ The Day Porter position will oversee the cleaning and upkeep of a high-security facility for a government contractor in Clarksburg, MD. MUST be a U.S. Citizen. Under the leadership and in collaboration with the Lead Day Porter, this Day Porter position will be responsible for maintaining building 3 and perform the following: RESPONSIBILITIES ________________________________________ • Sign-in and report each morning to the lead day-porter at building 1 • Police bathrooms and ensure that trash bins are low or empty and that floors are clean and free from trash, paper, or other debris. Restock restroom items as needed. • Inspect assigned coffee stations and cafeteria/lounge room to ensure that there is coffee, cups, and that other cafeteria items are fully stocked • Assist other day-time staff to clean labs when scheduled or requested • Disinfect all general high touch areas, such as countertops, doorknobs, light switches, handrails, etc. • Police and clean all entrances, including glass doors, and empty trash bins located at each entrance • When needed, spot mop any spills in restrooms, cafeterias, hallways, or entrances • When PSI daytime personnel are short on staff, this position may need to pitch-in and complete other duties that may include: o Helping with trash and recycle collection and disposal o Cover another building or area that may not be assigned • Ensuring that the janitors’ closet is well organized and clean, and that all faucets from the slop sink are turned off before leaving • Other duties and responsibilities may be requested, as needed QUALIFICATIONS ________________________________________ - MUST be a U.S. Citizen and be able to pass a background check - MUST have your own reliable transportation - Have 3-5 years of Day Porter or Janitorial Cleaning experience - Must be able to walk and be on your feet for several hours per day - Should be able to lift 40 lbs. - Should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Demonstrated ability to be proactive, motivated, and team player - Good communication skills: should be able to contact supervisor and colleagues with walkie-talkie - Bilingual (English-Spanish speaker), highly preferred
