Description

We are looking for a qualified candidate to start up, shut down, and perform daily duties of the Continuous Batch Washer/ tunnel washer (CBW). The washroom operator is also responsible for helping the small wash operator maintain daily scheduled production and provide a continuous flow of clean linen. This position is physical and will require the ability to stand for 8-10 hours and lift at least 50 pounds. Duties and Responsibilities -Sort dirty linen into appropriate wash procedures and linen type -Load wash machines with linen, ensuring proper weight and wash formula is being used -Select correct chemicals and amounts for the correct linen categories -Must be able to start up and operate the CBW to include press extractors, lifts, transfer conveyors, dryers, and other equipment associated with the tunnel washer -Identify different types of laundry (i.e. towels, sheets, tablecloths) and separate accordingly -Meet and maintain predetermined daily production requirements per hour -Follow all safety standards and procedures -Unload clean linen from the washer/dryers to the designated processing location
