Full Job Description- Warehouse Worker- Furniture Position Summary The Delivery Source is a Company with a robust flow of incoming and outgoing furniture and household items and is currently looking for a Warehouse Worker. The applicant must be physically able to lift heavy items through-out a normal workday. Located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a long-term opportunity and a full-time, 40hr work week. Primary Functions: o Unloading furniture of incoming trucks and stage for processing o Perform identification, marking of new incoming items o Open and inspect all new incoming items for damage o Assemble furniture as necessary o Tag all items prior to warehousing o Assist in warehousing of processed items o Assist in pulling items for delivery and stage in designated area o Assist in loading of delivery trucks o Process waste as necessary Secondary Functions: o Participate as part of the Delivery Crew(s) (as needed) o Load delivery trucks for destinations o Drive/ride to destinations in box truck o Unload truck and place furniture in designated area o Perform assembly of furniture when required o Collect and process waste Company Summary The Delivery Source performs the function of receiving/inspecting/assembling/warehousing and delivery of Furniture and Wares for our Customers. It is a constant flow of work that occurs each day that requires full attention to the safety hazards that exist with this type of work. Minimum Requirements • 1 year Furniture Handling/Moving experience • Valid Driver’s License • Able to perform assembly of items using common hand / power tools • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment. • A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction • Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task • Must speak English • Must have reliable commute Physical Requirements • The minimum physical requirements for this position include: • Must be able to lift consistently and continually, lower, push, pull furniture; in excess of 100 lbs., possibly up stairs • Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, etc. for an extended period • Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business. • Employees may be required to work in elevated conditions via usage of an Order Picker throughout the day.
