An established, 5-piece cover band, who averages 3-4 paying gigs per month, mostly in the Jacksonville area, is seeking an experienced keyboard player. It's a major plus if that person can play rhythm or lead guitar when they're not playing keys, sing backing vocals, and maybe even sing lead on a few songs; however, KEYS are the top priority. Other requirements include: -have a daytime job or be retired; not rely on gigging as your primary source of income. -be open minded about genres; we play Classic & Modern Rock/Country/Dance/Funk/Alternative/Blues/Southern Rock from the 60s to the 2000s. -commit to playing for this band only; if you are playing with multiple bands, it probably won't work. Filling in for other bands on occasions, when we don't have a scheduled show, is acceptable. -have reliable transportation and own equipment. -prefer male or female over 40 years old; fyi, most of us are in our 50s & 60s. -be willing to rehearse once a week (typically Wednesday evenings) until you are up to speed, then we'll cut back to once a month, usually to learn new tunes. Most of our shows are on Fri. and Sat. nights, but we do book occasional ones on a weekday evening.
