BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport veterinarian has had his license suspended after he was arrested for the second time in two years for animal cruelty, The Connecticut Post reported. Amr Wasfi, 75, was charged with cruelty to animals in connection with the death of a 10-week-old puppy in his care. Police said the dog died of overheating after being left on a heating pad for "an extended period." Wasfi, who is listed as the sole doctor at Black Rock Animal Hospital, was arrested last year on the same charge on accusations that he performed an "unnecessary" surgery on a dog that was brought in with a limp, according to The Post.
