Job Description: - Perform maintenance and repairs on garage doors, dock equipment and other mechanical components related to commercial garage doors - Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with different components of garage doors - Repair or replace different components of garage doors - Install commercial and residential garage doors and openers - Repair and remove garage doors and openers - Troubleshoot and assist customers with garage door problems - Install and repair garage doors and openers in commercial and residential locations - Use of scissor lift and forklift - Maintain communication and relationships with customers and coworkers - Travel to job sites with pickup and trailer - Perform activities that require considerable use of whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing - Observe and inspect equipment and materials - Communicate with supervisors and peers by telephone, written form, or in person to relay information - Think creatively to apply new knowledge to out dated mechanisms - Document and record information for work orders Requirements: - Has a valid Driver's License with clean driving record - Experience in the construction field - Mechanical aptitude - Good verbal and written communication skills (bilingual a plus) - Able to lift approximately 75lbs with little to no assistance - Willing to learn - Follows directions - Works well with others and by self - Reliable
