Under direct supervision, perform a variety of grounds keeping, custodial, and general maintenance duties within assigned LOTT Clean Water Alliance (LOTT) facilities in a clean and orderly manner. Essential Functions: The Maintenance Assistant (Grounds) assists the Irrigation and Grounds Specialist in the performance of assigned duties. Duties include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and improvement of turf area, including aeration, thatching, liming, overseeding, and topdressing; • Clear sidewalks and parking lots of snow, leaves, and debris; • Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, tractors, pressure washers, sprayers, leaf-blowers, power trimmers, pruners, chain saws, aerators, thatchers, and other power tools; • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems; • Perform all work in a safe, efficient, and orderly manner; • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance; and • Perform other duties as assigned.
