PRIMARY DUTIES General shop cleanup and maintenance. Applicant will assist shop mechanic(s) with compressor and equipment tear downs, cleaning, repairs, re-assembly, fabrication and painting. If slow, will be required to concentrate on shop upgrades, cleaning and yard maintenance. Must be willing to do any duty required to get jobs completed safely. Some overtime may be seen, dependent on delivery requirements of projects. Must be reliable, follow orders, work safely and have dependable transportation to and from work site near Sooner Road & Seward Road, south of Guthrie, Ok. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum: Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of tools and tool types. Preferred: Fabrication, mechanical and general shop operations experience. Welding and machine experienced helpful. HOURS (8 Hours - Straight Time) Summer – 6 am until 3 pm / Monday – Friday Winter – 8 am until 5 pm / Monday – Friday Lunch – 30 Minutes with 2 - 15 Minute Breaks PAY PERIODS Bi-Monthly (every 2 weeks) 1st of Month 15th of Month PAY SCALE 40 Hours Per Week $8.50/Hr to $14.00/Hr. – Dependent on experience and evaluation period results EVALUATION PERIOD 30 - 90 Days – Contract Labor Basis (Supervisor to determine duration) DRUG TESTING Random Basis – If results of testing show non-prescribed and/or illegal drugs, employment will be terminated immediately. All narcotic or other enhancing prescriptions need to be stated at time of employment. Medications prescribed by doctor during employment need to be stated at the time of being prescribed. This applies “only” to narcotics or other meds that might impair judgement or the ability to safely work. JOB HAZARDS - POTENTIAL Pinch-point, Crushing, Vapor, Chemical, Overhead, Abrasion, Cutting, Pressure, Flammable, Electrical Shock, Hot Surface Applicant will provide their own safety footwear. Shop will provide ear, head, eye and breathing protection as required for the job. Safety glasses will be worn always. Failure to comply with safety guidelines, is immediate termination.
