Have you ever wondered about the name of a local tree? Are you interested in the history of our Washington DC neighborhood? The Deanwood Citizens Association and Capital Nature invite you to a Summer Tree Walk on July 24th! The walk will start at the Deanwood Recreation Center. Capital Nature Co-founders Ana and Stella will take you on a leisurely stroll in the neighborhood, stopping to appreciate the coolness and beauty of our local trees, and to learn species names. We’ll make time for interesting tree lore and local history along the way.
