Many Afghans who fled Kabul a year ago are still arriving in the greater Washington area after spending months in refugee camps. They badly need short-term assistance until they can find jobs to support their families. Come learn more about the brave men and women who are our new neighbors. Calvary Lutheran Church is just inside the beltway and near the Forest Glen Metro station. The church has limited parking so please plan a few extra minutes to park in the neighborhood. This event is being organized by a neighborhood group in Silver Spring, MD on behalf of Homes Not Borders.
