Guitarist looking to rock! I have almost 30 years of musical, stage and recording experience and am looking to hit some Bay Area stages once I find the right people. I’m looking to play rock songs sprinkled with some country as well as some blues. MAINLY rock though. Let me be clear, I’m not looking to play old classic rock songs and “make them rock songs”. I’m not into taking old songs no one knows and throwing some distortion on them hoping people will dance to them. I’m definitely not into learning tame songs just to get into certain venues like wineries or personal parties. And lastly I’m not looking to play “top 40 (whatever genre that is) at all, because every other band and their momma already covers top 40. My goal here is to be different than any other band on the scene today. Read that again before you respond to this. I WANT TO PLAY ROCK SONGS AS THEY WERE INTENDED TO PLAY! LOUD. IN YOUR FACE. AND TO GET PEOPLE OFF THEIR SEATS. Bands I’m interested in covering but not limited to; AC/DC, Van Halen, Motley Crew, Guns N’ Roses, Joe Satriani, Halestorm, Gary Moore, Chris Stapleton, Aerosmith, SRV, Kenny Wayne Shepard, etc. I don’t have a place to practice and I’m not looking to travel far from home. I’d like to stay local but the right people can persuade me to change my mind. Please don’t give me a list of classic rock songs, that top 40 bullsh@t, winery songs or otherwise. I want a list of rock songs you already know or are interested in playing. If this sounds like something you’re interested in please don’t hesitate to message me.
