I'm looking to lease/ buy a venue and promote events [ concerts]. I have promoted acts, mostly at bars/ nightclubs usually at places we had played and where I knew the owners and it was very much a 'quid-pro-quo" situation, ie : [ 'you take care of us and we'll take care of you". The deal might be that the club owner got all the alcohol plus 12 to 15 percent of the door and we got the rest !...............................I need relevant info : I want to talk with somebody to get informed...better informed,...on putting on a larger show. The title is irrelevant....production mgr., stage manager, engineer........or just 'roadie'...grunt ! Doesn't matter. I would like to buy you dinner/ drink if you like, and have you explain to me the logistics of "putting on a show". In other words, if I want to show Skynard.......what does my venue need ? What do they bring / What do I bring ? What do I need for lighting ?.......What do I need for electrical '? Sound ?..... I need to know what the 'infrastructure' of a show look like.
