Description
Looking to rehome a 2 year old black lab. He was born December 19th, 2019. He currently weighs about 80 lbs. He is current on his rabies shot and neutered. He is potty trained, he always rings the bell on the door any time he has to go out. He is kennel trained, he sleeps in his kennel at night and while we are away from the house. He does bark quite a lot- to get attention, when there’s loud noises, when he sees a leaf in the yard, etc. He doesn’t like storms and is afraid of thunder. He loves chewing on bones and chew toys. As a puppy he chewed up his fair share of shoes but he hasn’t done that in almost a year now. He does not enjoy car rides too much, he drools the entire time in a car. He does need someone who will work with him since he is a reactive dog, meaning he is not aggressive but he gets over stimulated by social settings. He has gotten along with the few dogs he’s met and does not get along great with cats, he doesn’t realize how big he is and he wants to play with them. He gets very excited social settings, he will bark and pull on the leash when he sees other people and animals, so he will need some leash training and socialization training. He is very friendly and has never shown any signs of aggression. He would enjoy a fenced in yard but beware he is an escape artist if you don’t keep an eye on him. He does not like being outside alone and if he is he becomes bored and will start to dig holes. He needs someone who can take the time to train him, love on him, and be patient with him. Asking a rehoming fee to ensure he goes to someone who is serious about wanting him. I am only rehoming him because of our living situation. I would be doing a thorough check of the adopter who will need vet references and a home check as well to ensure he is going to a safe loving home. It breaks my heart to part with him and I will only allow him to go to the absolute best because he is the sweetest boy 💕 If you can provide this loving boy a good home, lots of love and attention, and spend time training him please reach out to me.
