SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office K-9 officer discovered four pounds of meth during a recent traffic stop, officials said.
Nicholas Ardanuy was arrested on suspicion of having drugs for sale.
A driver was speeding down Highway 17 when detectives stopped the car, the sheriff's office said. K-9 Lola picked up on the scent of drugs coming from the car and notified detectives.
Four pounds of methamphetamine were found inside the car, along with more than $2,000 in cash, photos posted by the sheriff's office indicate.
