Indigo 3yr old Labradoodle husky Indigo Indigo needs an experienced owner I have to start with that, because Labradoodle husky mixes are very strong dog's and while we are learning how to use a face lead it would be an on going process in his new home. He has a tendency to pull on his lead without a face lead on. Indigo hates to be alone, since I currently work from home with my art I don't leave the house much so he's never alone for long periods of time but so far placing him in a kennel with his toys, water and food/bed he does fine for about 30 minutes and at night he goes in at 8-9pm I take him out for a walk around the backyard around 10-11 pm to do his last bit of business for the night then he sleeps there until 9:30 pm. I do want to start getting up with him early enough for a morning walk so his schedule would change to 6:30am. He spends time in the same space as my male dog, good with other dogs but can try to hump or be just to nosey to my dog and he gets upset because my dog is an old guy who just wants to rest. Indigo does require a lot of exercise and play time. He has a lot of energy to burn 60 minutes is a base line for him. He does well on the face lead, he does try to pull or remove it but I can show you how I correct him and then proceed, as I have stated he is still learning. Inside he does well, he sleeps mostly, plays with his toys and if he gets too excited he understands verbal correction. And does follow basic commands sit, go lay down, and bed. He does need work on re-call he's part stubborn husky and wants to do his own thing at times. Indigo loves water and with Texas being so hot he would need a pool and probably give you some laughter as he goofs around in it then rolls in the grass. He would be a great family dog after leash training and some basics. He grew up around toddlers and children, does fine with stranger's, teens and adults. Indigo does need a tall fence, big guy is a jumper. But being that he is also part loyal loving lab and the intelligent people pleasing poodle he's the sweetest and loves getting pet's and brushed or just lounging around with you.
