Please share I moved to Texas in January. When I moved, my dog stayed with people that I thought would keep her safe. It was assured to me that once I was settled in TX, I could come and pick her up. When that time came, I was greeted with hostility, the threat of court, and lies of her running away. Since then, I have been tirelessly watching the shelters, groups and Craigslist for her picture to pop up. After about 2/3 months, the person that had her reached out to me and told me that they would give her back. They were going to a birthday party and “left her out, I just had to pick her up”. Otherwise, I had 2 months to make the trip before they moved and could no longer have her. Once again, ready to go, I reached out and was ignored for weeks. Finally, I got a response, except they claimed that she “ran off or someone picked her up about 3 weeks ago”. After speaking with several people, it’s thought that she was either left behind hanging around waiting then running off after the person moved and left her there or she was given/sold to someone residing in the valley. Aspen is microchipped and registered to me. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and VERY friendly. She “smiles” and is very vocal, please do not think she is doing this out of aggression if you encounter her. I have shared to multiple groups, shelters, lost pet networks, etc. If you could, please keep your eyes open and let me know if you happen to see or hear anything. Sharing and getting the word out is even better. I’m scared someone might think she’s a dangerous dog or a tourist could’ve picked her up.
