Help needed! Remodeling a fixer upper in Sanford. This historical beauty is 100 years old and was once a rural schoolhouse. The renovation includes a complete foundation and extensive structural repair, siding, roof, drainage systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, tile, and cabinetry. We are doing most of this ourselves, and looking for a helper or two to round out the crew for parts of the foundation and subsequent structural work. If you need flexible work with a lot of variation from day to day, you have varied experience in construction, or you're seeking experience in many different aspects of a residential remodel (particularly a historic remodel) this might be a good fit for you. This is a part-time 10-99 gig, for 1-3 days a week now through October. Schedule is flexible. Construction skills needed: basic shop safety & ability to read a tape measure. Tools can be provided but you will need boots. Reliability and willingness to work hard in the heat without creature comforts are a must. Can provide transport to/from Pittsboro or Sanford area. Range is $17-$25/hr. based on experience level. Inexperienced laborer would be $17 and someone capable in multiple relevant trades with own tools could be $25 or better.
