I'm a big fan of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, hard rock and atmospheric rock, especially long, intricate songs by bands like Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Tool, Alice in Chains, Steely Dan, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc. I'm also into classical, jazz, blues and old R&B (but more from a listening perspective). I'm typically not into country or rap/hip-hop... though early Eagles (and similar) is cool, and some of the edgier Hard Rock-Rap fusion stuff (i.e., Rage Against the Machine) is interesting. I'm into creating original music and doing re-interpretations of songs -- not so much into covers. I'm mainly a guitarist, but also include synths and sequencing in my songs. I tend to be more into the creative process than most, I guess, so I enjoy exploring different "takes" on a song idea. my dream project would combine the vocal stylings of Robert Plant (i.e., bluesy), the intensity of Rush and the psychedelics of Floyd. what a sound that would be!
