Research Study Opportunity for People 60+! We are actively enrolling in an RSV vaccine study at Duly Health & Care in Oak Lawn, IL! We are working with Bavarian Nordic who has developed a live attenuated vaccine to protect people against Respiratory Syncytial Virus. They developed this vaccine based off the smallpox vaccine (how cool!). We are expecting very minimal side effects similar to your typical vaccine reaction. This study is placebo controlled and takes place over the course of one year with a possible second year follow-up. We are working with Dr. John Elsen of Duly Health and Care (FKA DuPage Medical Group) at the Oak Lawn office (95th & Pulaski) There is only 1 in office visit that take about 2.5 hours where you will receive the vaccine (or placebo). After vaccination there are monthly phone calls as well as an electronic diary element (super easy for anyone with a smartphone). The only other time you would need to come into the office would be is you reported symptoms in your eDiary so we could swab you for RSV.
