Blues based, years of pop covers, experimental jams starting from nowhere for the sounds and experimentation on a Weather Report basis but tunes, standards, classic pop standards, play virtually any feel for real. I've gigged for years and will gladly but only on stuff where the proficiency and understanding is such it's all winged over these tired, old songs these bands think this is what their audience actually wants to hear when they absolutely do not. Maybe the tunes but not the same way twice. Ever. I want cats who can improvise, mix things up. This verbatim stuff, the endless rehearsing over stuff that could be learned on the first listen, I have no interest in. And I am professional about this to a T. A man's gotta be free to create and the audience got to feel what is being put down. End of story.
