Protect your Amplifiers from wifi surges!
Voltage regulators are a must. An electronic device designed for 120VAC item will eventually burn out at 125-135VAC. Resistance must be installed on the outlet ground wire and between the chassis and circuit board. A wifi surge will burn out the weakest link in the circuit board; fuse and/or hot chassis heat sink will be the first to go.
If your amp is running hot, the most likely cause is poor design; however, an unstable electrical supply is usually the problem. (A passing remote controlled 18 wheeler dosen't help either).
If you're picking up "spanish talk" through your speakers, remember the amp is a transmitter, not a receiver. The electromagnetic field is the weakest part of the system. If a cell phone tower is pumping out 100,000 watts, your little 90,000 watt amp can't compete with that and will get overidden. Enclosing the amp speakers in a faraday cage or tin box should help redirect the electromagnetic field for some shielding. Use 16ohm or higher resistance speakers if available. Stay away from black market items. If you can't see what's inside, don't buy it.
Government mentality; cause the problem, offer the solution. Remember, the most likely subjects are going to be those who sell Amplifiers, especially wben overpriced.
