Departing and returning from SULTANA’s home port of historic Chestertown, SULTANA’s two-hour public sails are a great way to sail the Chester River onboard a traditional schooner. Passengers are encouraged to help raise the sails, steer using Sultana’s seven-foot long tiller, and explore the authentically reproduced crew’s quarters below-decks. Please see notes below about special sails  Special Sails Ecology Sails (all sails starting at 11:00am): All sails with a starting time of 11:00am are Ecology Sails. On these sails, passengers are invited to help pull our 20-foot-wide sampling net to catch fish, crabs, and other critters from the Chester River. This is loads of fun for both children and adults alike.   Yes . . . we also sail during Ecology Sails. Tea Party Sails (all sails on May 28-29, 2022): Experience Chestertown’s annual Tea Party Weekend festival from the deck of the schooner SULTANA.
