Join us on August 19, 2022 to hear Fr. Sal Shevchuk, Pastor of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Firestone Park. Fr. Sal is from Ukraine and has been hosting weekly “Moleben during War” evening prayer services for Peace in Ukraine. He is also in the process of finally receiving approval to bring his father here from western Ukraine. Fr. Sal’s brother us a Ukrainian Catholic Bishop in Kiev, so Fr. Sal has a very good updated knowledge of the plight of the Ukrainian people and Ukrainian Catholic Church. He will speak about the Ukrainian Catholic Church, and its role in surviving and ministering in a time of war, along with personal awareness of families coordinating their loved ones’ flight to safety as war refugees.
