A VISION FOR OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE, BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH CREATIVITY! United Youth Music and Arts (UYMA) develops youth leadership and empowerment through community-based music, arts and health and fitness programs, especially in under-served communities in the Rochester, New York area. All our programs incorporate life skills and leadership components such as team-building, peaceful dispute resolution and goal setting through exposure to positive role models, mentoring, training and practice. Our youth are the future: they have the power to change—and are changing— the world for the better. The creative power of music and the arts as a uniting, empowering and healing force for good. All people are created equal, and are equally valuable, important, and deserving of respect. We embrace, honor and celebrate our diversity. Any goal is achievable when we work together in community for the common good.
