Angel's Envy has just completed a major $8.2 million, 13,000 square foot expansion of the distillery and visitor's center in Louisville. On July 27, the Bourbon Brotherhood will be hosting a special event there. During his years at Brown-Forman, Lincoln Henderson was the creator of many notable brands, including Woodford Reserve and Gentleman Jack. After retirement, Lincoln's son, Wes, recognized that several of Lincoln’s never-fully-realized projects might form the foundation for a lasting family business. Together, they co-founded Angel's Envy, creating groundbreaking whiskeys using secondary barrel finishing techniques. Our featured speaker will be Wes Henderson. One thing that you might not know about Wes is that he is also the Oldham Country Coroner. So he's a bit of an angel himself. Keeping with the angel theme, we are partnering with Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA), an organization dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation, to make this an extra-special evening. The evening will feature tastings and a tour of the distillery, along with a cash bar for cocktails. For food, we'll have a large "grazing table" catered by the folks at Board and You. And of course we'll awesome door prizes, as always. You must be 21 or over to attend this event. The Bourbon Brotherhood is a monthly gathering of men who enjoy bourbon and camaraderie.
