Join us for a Girls Rock ride with Epicenter on Mission St., on Santa Cruz's Westside, SUNDAY July 24! ALL LEVELS WELCOME Not sure about your level? See Riding Levels definitions OR, take our Ride Level survey Stay tuned for details, and visit https://www.epicentercycling.com/ to learn more about our awesome hosts. *Safety protocols include proof of full vaccination or a negative Covid19 test for all riders, no exceptions. PCR/molecular tests must be taken within 48 hours and antigen tests (rapid tests) within 24 hours of the ride. Records must have your name and test/vaccine date so they can be paired with your registration. You can find free professional testing near you using the CA testing site locator. **At registration, you will be asked for your ride level. See Riding Levels definitions OR, take our Ride Level survey When you register, you sign a waiver releasing us from liability. Volunteers: Please register with Girls Rock organizers for ride-day roles like guiding, not on Eventbrite, which is for riders. Be prepared for our ride! Read What to Expect Schedule 9:00 - 9:45 am — Check-in (registration is mandatory for all riders, guides), add a Clif Bar to your pack, enjoy coffee & donuts courtesy of Epicenter! 9:30am — Volunteer guide meeting 9:45 am — Mandatory rider announcements, followed by raffle with prizes from generous donors, including Osprey Packs 10:00 am — Break into groups by level, roll out to our fav Santa Cruz trails (we'll be near Wilder, UCSC!) 12:00 – 3:00pm — Ride ends, shopping and refueling begins with Epicenter offering GR riders 10% off parts and accessories, refreshments courtesy of Girls Rock and no-host grub by The Real Taco food truck, a meal that would make you feel like you're on another planet. 🌮 Location & Parking We will meet at Epicenter's Mission St. location: 1730 Mission St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Please park and unload on area streets (permits not required over the summer) to leave spots available for patrons while we are out riding. Bike or carpool to the event, and ask for an extra raffle ticket! Important Reminders -Health: If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Bring a mask and wear it if you cannot socially distance. -Safety: Mountain biking is a dangerous sport. When you come riding with us, we assume that you have reviewed risks and accept responsibility for your personal safety. Learn more. Bring your helmet, eye protection, water, sunscreen/long sleeves/long socks; and a mountain bike in good working order -Prepare to ride: MTB takes energy and strength, so eat breakfast, pack water and snacks for your ride with us. -Don't be sorry! Bring locks to secure bikes after the ride; do not leave valuables unattended -Sorry, no demos this month.
