OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Police Department is asking the community to help identify the man involved in a bank robbery on Dec. 23.
Officers responded at 5:06 p.m. to the Meijer store located at 2700 Route 34 in Oswego. At approximately 5:00 p.m., a man walked up to a counter at the US Bank located outside, implied he had a weapon, and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash. He then fled the store, police said.
The police are releasing images taken from surveillance cameras in an effort to identify the suspect who was described as a 20 to 30-year-old white man, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing a fedora hat, black mask, black or navy blue buttoned up shirt and a black jacket.
