Description
We're a three piece Boston based indie rock act. We formed late last year and started gigging a couple months ago. We're good. We have a decent batch of songs written - our medium term plan is to spend the rest of this year gigging and recording standalone singles, and to record and release something more substantive (an EP or album) next year.
We're interested in adding a 4th member, ideally a synth/keys player (someone who can play guitar in addition to that would be awesome). We write very melodic, sometimes noisy, sometimes slightly jazzy indie music. Not at all proggy, but lots of chords, and many of our songs have weird or complex structures and a fair share of high energy moments.
We're looking for someone who is a creative, competent player, is able to add texture and chords to pre-existing songs and lead parts where necessary, and is confident writing their own parts. Reference points for the type of keys/synth work that we like: My Bloody Valentine, Devo, Steely Dan, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Brainiac.

Goes without saying, but please only reply if you have your own equipment, your own transport, are able to commit to weekly rehearsals in Boston, regular Boston shows and occasional out of state shows (which will probably include brief tours here and there in the future). Previous experience of live performance and working in a band unit is necessary.
If you're interested, please reach out and tell me a little about yourself. Share some of your previous work, tell me about your equipment!! Let's make some good music together!!! No age limit, but we're all in the 26-30 bracket, so make of that what you will.
--We're not a jam band, we have very tightly structured songs, my apologies if that's your thing!--
