Rehoming our Macaw

We are heartbroken to be rehoming our blue and gold macaw. She is in her early 30s and has been with our family her entire life. We are in need of rehoming her due to changes in the family not of her own doing. She is a lovely bird with a big vocabulary whom loves to talk but on her own terms. She also typically prefers women and wouldn’t be good in a home with small children. She suffers some anxiety but once she learns to trust you that will hinder, and has cataracts which she will need attention for sometime in the future. I prefer she goes to a home with big bird experience and one with plenty of time to dedicate to her. She will come with everything she has now and her rehoming fee will be $1500 to ensure she goes to a home where she will be loved and appreciated as part of the family. I won’t be negotiating on the rehoming fee.
